Mudpuppy Chase Course Route
Check out our beautiful course that runs through the University of Waterloo environmental preserve! You'll love this relatively flat scenic course!
Taking place once again at the David Johnson Research & Tech Park, we're very proud of a course that offers great parking, an amazing start and finish that gives you access to cheer on your family and friends and a very scenic portion running through the Waterloo Environmental Preserve. Our course is fully accessible to those with assistive devices like hand-cycles or wheelchairs and all are welcome to run/walk with us on race day!
When you arrive on Hagey Blvd, our friendly volunteers will guide you into the University of Waterloo parking lots. From there you will be able to see our large event tent set up in Columbia Fields off Frank Tompa Drive. If you have not picked up your race kit, head in this direction to find our race kit pickup area. Schools will be meeting along the field where signs will create collection points. Both the 3K and the 5K flow in the same direction but the 5K will start by heading out towards Hagey Blvd, turning right onto Columbia St. then picking up the trail that will go through the University of Waterloo Environmental Preserve. Don't worry, this trail is hard packed limestone screenings and is a VERY stable surface to run on. The trail is beautiful as it runs past Columbia Lake and then travels next to a river and fields up to Bearinger Rd. When Beainger Rd meets Hagey Blvd, you're just a couple roundabouts away from the finish line!
Head back to the athletics field for food, massage, prizes and more after the race! See you all on Mudpuppy race day!
Be sure to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your race start to take in all of the race day energy and to give yourself time to get from the parking area to the start line.
